            Dear Mission Member:

We are pleased to announce Project Libya 2006, December 4-7, 2006, at the Tripoli International Fairgrounds.  The U.S. Department of Commerce is announcing that for the first time ever, it will apply Official Certification to a trade event in Libya - Project Libya 2006.

            The DOC anticipates this will be the largest gathering of U.S. companies ever assembled on Libyan soil.  The U.S. government is encouraging U.S. companies to invest in the infrastructure of Libya.  For its part, Libya is set to embark on an ambitious expansion of economic development; a project budgeted at US $35 billion within the period of the upcoming National Development Plan.

A growing middle class and a stable economic
system are in place.  As a result, opportunities in Libya for U.S.
suppliers and manufacturers have never been better.  There is great
demand for investment in the following areas:

    * General Construction
    * Home Building
    * Telecommunications
    * Water Treatment and Irrigation
    * Food & Agriculture
    * Environmental Projects
    * Expansion of roads, bridges, airports and municipalities
    * Tourism Development
    * Security
    * Medical Equipment and Health Education

            Exhibiting at a certified fair can free you of many exhibition concerns and provide you with excellent pre-show and on-site support to help you make sales.  Global Strategies Trading in Libya will be available at the exhibition to assist you with export needs, lead
generation, and facilitating contacts.

            Enclosed you will find a registration form and other information we have found to be useful for our partners in the past.

Along with all of our trade delegation members, we sincerely thank you and look forward to seeing you on this historic trade mission to Tripoli, Libya.
