US-CUBA TRADE ROUND, Havana,
Cuba
Monday May 28 through May 31, 2007
Dear Client:
Alimport, the Cuban Government
buying entity that exclusively imports U.S. legally allowable products, has
announced a very special buying event in Havana, Cuba from May 28 to May 31,
2007
Alimport has pledged over 100 million
dollars and will write import contracts for over 100 million dollars during
this event. We strongly recommend that
you attend this one of a kind event and compete for a potion of these
contracts.
Global Strategies (GS) will employ
advance sales tactics and travel to Cuba in advance of this event to pre-sell
your products, to gain strategic sales advantage over other competitors, and as
well will travel with you during this event to press the buyers for contracts.
In addition to entering the viable
Cuban import market, we at GS see an amazing trend that will culminate in the
end of the U.S. embargo of Cuba based upon three factors:
1) Mr. Alarcorn, the speaker of Cuban Assembly announced on
our last trade mission in April 07 with the Governor of Nebraska, that the
Cuban Government sees the end of the embargo within three years or sooner;
2) Cuban-Americans for the first time have voiced a majority
desire to immediately end the embargo (thus making the current U.S. policy
irrelevant and outdated); and
3) The United States Congress is dedicated to passing
legislation (which is pending now) to end the embargo, normalizing trade and
travel by currently sponsoring pending bills, with the ‘votes in place to
override’ an executive branch veto.
Therefore we see an immediate
opportunity to execute ‘100% cash in advance’ export contracts of your products
to Cuba, and we also see great future opportunities as well.
A prominent study completed by
Texas A & M University conservatively estimates that over 2,000,000 American’s
will travel to Cuba the very first year it is legally permissible to do so.
With the Cuban economies number
one revenue source being ‘tourism’, it should be no surprise that Cuban policy
is anticipating and preparing for open trade and travel with the United States.
Therefore strong predictors
indicate that current Cuban spending of two billion dollars a years on food,
medicines and medical equipment will increase to ten times that.
Currently the Cuban government, as
noted from Alimport in the attached letter below, has purchased over 2.2
billion dollars, ‘cash in advance’, for U.S. goods to feed its population, and
as well to service the high end products ‘tourism sector’.
GS will expertly introduce your
products to the Cuban buyers, Alimport, in advance of this event and will as
well handle all aspects of your trip with us to Havana at the actual ‘buying’
event. This will be a legal business
expense for marketing and sales of new export streams for your products,
provide the opportunity to explore ‘new and exciting markets’ for your
products, as this will be one of the most memorable business trips of your
career to an otherwise ‘forbidden’ yet premier travel destination in the world.
Please do not miss this
opportunity to explore an exciting new export stream to Cuba with your
products, that is ‘100% cash in advance’, with an exciting future to further
deepen and expand into the future as trade and travel nears normalization.
With most kind and sincere regards,
Gregory A. Estevane,
